Children's Services

Teen Advisory Group - TAG

TAG consists of students in grades 6 -12. Meetings are held monthly in the Library community room. In addition to participating in group activities throughout the year, students come up with new ideas that they would like to see at the Library. Registration is not required.

Fun Club

Fun Club, for children in 1st grade through 5th grade, is offered in two 10-week sessions during the fall and winter months. Kids participate in a variety of fun activities including art projects, games, science experiments, and cooking. Meetings are held on Thursdays from 5:00-5:45. Registration is required and limited to 25.

 Listen, Learn, and Do

Listen, Learn, and Do is designed for children ages 4 through kindergarten. There is a limit of 12 children per  10 week session. Stories, games, and crafts with a focus on early literacy skills. This group meets on Tuesdays at 5:00 with each one lasting 30-45 minutes. Registration is required.

Wee Folks Play Dates

Monthly unstructructerd play dates in the WPL meeting room will give children ages 12-36 months the opportunity to develop socializatin skills. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Books, toys, music and a story provided! Once per month. Call library for times and dates. No registration is required.

Children's Computer

We have 2 computers just for children to use while visiting the library. There are numerous programs that our younger patrons will enjoy.

Board books, Picture books, I Can Read books, Non-Fiction, Holiday Books, Holiday Collection and Reference.

Magazines

American Girl,  Kids Discover, Ranger Rick, Sesame Street Magazine, Sports Illustrated For Kids.

Other Resources

 Audio CD's,  Audio books, CD-ROM's,  Videos and DVD's for all ages.

Young Adult

We have a growing Paperback/Hardback  collection, Non-Fiction collection,and  magazines just for teens.

Summer Reading Program

Every summer children of all ages are encouraged to participate in our SRP. Research shows that libraries are the most important factor in helping children retain learning skills during the summer months. Our Youth Services Coordinator creates an exciting new program each year to keep your youngster reading.   Registration is required.
