Winter Weather Closing Policy

We will be closed if there is a Level 2 or Level 3 emergency.

If there is a Level 2 or Level 3 emergency at the time of opening (10am), the Library will be closed for the day.

Whenever there is a Level 1 emergency or other weather-related situation, patrons are advised to call the Library @ (419) 288-2708 to make sure we are open.

 

Children's programs may be cancelled if Elmwood School is closed due to inclement weather.  

Mission & Goals

The mission of Wayne Public Library is to serve the people of the entire community, striving to provide those people with free and uncensored access to all types of informational media for their education, enlightenment, and enjoyment. Special emphasis will be placed on stimulating children's interest in and appreciation for reading and learning. Also, the Library will recognize our communities need for popular and recreational print and non-print materials.
