Unattended Children Policy

When visiting the library, children in 4th grade and younger must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or responsible caregiver age 16 or older.  Exceptions are made when a child is attending a Library program, for a brief visit to check out or drop off materials, or when special arrangements have been made in advance with the Library Director.  For safety concerns, preschoolers should not be left unattended in any part of the library at any time.  Parents/caregivers must remain in the library when children younger than 1st grade are attending a program.  Children in 5t

1000 Books Before Kindergarten

Children are encouraged to take the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten challenge!  This free program encourages reading 1000 books to a child before he or she enters kindergarten.  Any child, age birth through the day before they start kindergarten, can be registered.  Prizes will be awarded for every 100 books read.  When the goal of 1000 books is reached, the child will receive a special prize.  Stop in the library to register.

Meeting Room

The library's meeting room may be reserved by an adult patron with a fine free library card.

An application and $50 deposit must be completed at least 1 week prior to the event.  Dates are not secure until application and deposit are completed.

A $25 refund will be issued if the meeting room is left in the same condition as before the event.  A refund request form must be completed at the conclusion of the event and left where instructed.
